Felipe Maia

Felipe Maia is a partner at Maneira Advogados, with a predominant practice in dispute resolution, civil and business litigation (judicial and arbitration). He has twenty (20) years of experience in handling complex and strategic litigation, focusing on contractual, corporate, civil liability, banking and capital markets issues, as well as insolvency (judicial recovery and bankruptcy) and credit recovery. He is a lawyer certified by ICFML for the practice of law in business mediation and Arbitrator member of the CAMES BRASIL list. He was part of the Corporate Law Committee of OAB-MG for the triennium 2019-2021 and is a current member of the Board of Directors (Secretary) of the same Committee for the triennium 2022-2024. He is an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at Milton Campos Law School (since 2013), with priority duties in the Master’s Program and in scientific research.

EDUCATION

He has a Doctorate in Private Law (2013) and a Master’s in Business Law (2007) from the UFMG School of Law. MBA (Specialization) in Business and Economic Law from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), in 2005, with international extension at FORDHAM University School of Law (Program in Strategic Law, 2017). He is a Master’s candidate at NOVA School of Law (Lisbon/Portugal) in “Law and Tech” | 2022/23 (dissertation pending). B. degree from UFMG (2003).
