Felipe Maia


Partner of the civil and business litigation area at Maneira Advogados, with an emphasis on dispute resolution in the judicial and arbitration spheres. With a consolidated experience of 20 years, he is dedicated to conducting complex and strategic litigation, covering contractual, corporate, civil liability, banking law and capital markets issues, as well as cases related to insolvency (judicial recovery and bankruptcy) and credit recovery. He is certified by ICFML to practice law in business mediation and is part of the CAMES BRASIL list of Arbitrators. During the 2019-2021 triennium, he was a member of the OAB-MG Corporate Law Commission, and currently holds the position of member (Secretary) of the same Commission for the 2022-2024 triennium. With a solid academic contribution, he served as Adjunct Professor of Business Law at the Milton Campos Law School from 2013 to 2022, with priority responsibilities in the Master's Program and scientific research. Previously, he taught as a Substitute Professor of Private Law at UFMG (by competition). He has been a Visiting Professor at IBMEC-MG in postgraduate studies since 2013 and Adjunct Professor of Business Law in the undergraduate course in Law, with duties in Corporate Law and Business Insolvency (2024).
